Imagine living in an airport for 6 months, in a foreign country... that's exactly what happened to me. This is my story.

This is a story about how our greatest challenges can become our greatest teachers
When I landed in Singapore on August 1, 2018, I had no idea what was next, as I certainly was not intending to live at the Changi Airport for the next several months...
But what unfolded during my longest layover became my greatest teacher with the lessons I learned:
Connection. Certainty. Joy. Service. Growth. Fear. And most importantly, LOVE!
Within each chapter, I share the lessons and experiences that helped me to learn. Lessons around the seven values that make us human.
"There is only one way to learn. It's through action. Everything you need to know you have learned through your journey."

I know how crazy this all sounds
Every time I share this crazy adventure with people, the first thing they ask me is if I've ever seen the Tom Hanks movie, The Terminal.
And yes, I have seen The Terminal.
While I have spent countless hours in airports prior to this experience, this one was the longest and taught me so much about becoming a better human. It is the hardest thing I have ever done but has also been my greatest teacher.
It's an experience I would never wish on another soul, but have no regrets.
Join me on a journey of self-love, self-discovery, and unapologetic confidence.

There have been 2 threads intertwining throughout my life: Human Connection + Personal Development.
Starting with growing up living all over the globe + living with different cultures. I learned early on that while cultures may be different, we all want the same things: Connection, knowing we add value, + to feel loved.
Then in my 18yr US Coast Guard career, learning the power of teamwork, which is human connection.
